Development Bank of Turkey joined the Tourism Fair and Conference 'TRAVEL TURKEY İZMİR 2009', the meeting point for tourism professionals

From 10 to 13 December, 2009, our Bank joined the TOURISM FAIR at International Izmir Fair Center, Culture Park, İzmir. This fair was organized by Deutsche Messe, İZFAŞ, TÜRSAB and the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality.


At the opening ceremony of the fair which was held the second time, the speakers were: Başaran ULUSOY, Chairman of TURSAB, Ertuğrul GÜNAY, Culture and Tourism Minister, H. Ersan SANER, KKTC (Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic) Minister of Tourism, Environment and Culture and Mehmet Ali TALAT, President of KKTC.

Attended by many hotels, resorts, municipalities, governorates, provincial directorates of tourism and culture, chambers of industry and commerce, travel agents, restaurants and media organizations, the fair was very colorful. During the four-day fair, Halil İbrahim ERTEKİN, Asst. Denizli Governor made a presentation about Denizli; Prof. Dr. Veysel EROĞLU, Environment and Forestry Minister, opened the symposium titled 'Environment and its Effects on Sustainable Tourism; TÜRÇEV made a presentation titled “the Place and Importance of the Blue Flag in the Aegean Tourism”. The others presentations were: Sarajevo Canton’s presentation, American Travel Agents Association’s (ATAA) presentation, a presentation titled “Regional Cooperation Opportunities and New Routes”, Yozgat’s presentation, IZKA’s presentation and a photography show related to seas of the world.


Our credit facilities in the area of tourism were described, in one-to-one interviews, by the experts of our Credit Marketing, Credit Evaluation and Training and Public Relations Departments. Visiting the stands of other participants one by one, they were engaged in informational and promotional activities.
